
Dr. Jane Lubchenco, scheduled to appear at the International Speakers Series tonight, was called back to Washington DC today by President Obama. As Chief Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Dr. Lubchenco is a critical part of the management team dealing with the oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tonight’s lecture will be given by Dr. Mark Hixon, Professor of Marine Biology at Oregon State University and renowned expert on the relationship between ocean acidification and climate change.
